Carey Godbee

Carey Godbee has 15 years of technology and consumer public relations experience. For B3 Communications clients, she focuses on speaking and awards programs as well as media relations campaigns. Carey is multi-talented and maintains calm and quality even in the midst of intense multi-tasking. She secures speaking opportunities and awards for our clients with her methodical and efficient approach. She has also worked with the top tier conference coordinators for years and has built very strategic relationships with them which serves her and our clients well.

For B3 Communications, she focuses on effective media relations campaigns as well as speaking and awards programs. Carey is multi-talented and maintains calm and quality even in the midst of intense multi-tasking. She secures coverage by proactively pitching client news, contributed articles, customer stories, feature stories, and product reviews. Prior to joining the B3 Communications team, Carey was an account supervisor at Blanc & Otus, a leading high-technology public relations agency. At Blanc & Otus, she managed high-visibility programs such as company and product launches as well as media and analyst programs. She also was involved in in-depth messaging workshops to crystallize messaging for pre-IPO companies, including getfit.com and PurpleYogi.

In addition, Carey has worked for the Porter Novelli Convergence Group (PNCG), formerly Copithorne " Bellows, where she managed strategic public relations programs such as media tours and product announcements for Hewlett-Packard LaserJet printers. At PNCG, Carey also worked on Hewlett-Packard Corporate events and projects involving company-wide initiatives.

Earlier in her career, Carey implemented PR programs with awards and speaking opportunities at Miller/Shandwick Technologies for various clients, including Certicom, Hewlett-Packard's Test " Measurement Division, Identicator, and Philips Semiconductors.

When she's not immersed in PR work or trying to keep up with her young sons, Carey is an active supporter of the March of Dimes and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.Carey has a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.
